Hate it! Wont heat, awful to clean and way over priced. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PELLET STOVE! Uses lots more pellets than any pellet stove weve ever owned. Than to top it off, the company waited close to 4 months to cash my check. He accused me of writing a bad check. Im 71 and Ive never bounced a check!

User's recommendation: Wouldn’t recommend it at all!

We had this same problem and were able to fix it by taking our vent pipe up higher after it came through the wall with a 90 on it. Solved our problem entirely.

Like the stove, would like it to work for more than one season for the price tag that I paid for this, which is my main heat for here in Maine, USA

Pissed off.

Purchased a Lopi 1250 Insert January of 2017 from a dealer in Oscoda Michigan and have never been happy with it. Per the manufacturer's specifications, it will heat up to 1200 sq ft? I think not. The design of the air control Is ridiculous and hard to maintain, the blower switch went bad in the second year and the fan wheels have issues from minimal Sparks that melted the fins? Who makes a fan for a fireplace insert with aluminum cooling fins that melt? In all fairness if I could get my money back it would be justified and some. Two things for sure! Don't buy an insert without knowing someone who has one and #2 purchase something other than a (LOPI)

User's recommendation: Dont buy a Lopi.

Question about greenstart

Whether green start would just light the kindling or also light the actual fire with 3 logs positioned on top of the kindling. I was told it would. Also your pissed consumer protocol and having to register just to call you for basic information is very off putting for someone who has just been introduced to your company . It makes one wonder what kind of problems you might be having to put in place such restrictions for calling you. I am not sure this is good for your business, even if it might protect you from a few disgruntled abusive crazyass people

No factory support, Replacement parts very expensive

I bought a Lopi Berkshire GS2 propane stove manufactured by Travis Industries in May of 2016 so I would have a source of back-up heat in the event of an extended power outage. Although I was assured by the dealer several times that the stove could be lit with a match...

Air Control Problems

I have a Lopi 1250 Republic wood stove (SN 1118-00****) purchased from Innovations for Quality, Bellingham, WA. The stove was installed in my new home in late 2017. It draws too much air with recharge time of an hour and at best burn time max is 2 hours. The Lopi Wood Stove brochure states model 1250 burn time up to 8 hours. With prior wood stoves, when heated up and turned down to minimum air, the flames slowly dance. The Lopi flames look like they had 7 cups of coffee. The seal around the door is fine, per candle test, with excess air coming up the bottom air intake pulling out of my crawl space. The seller passed me off with a number of not correcting comments. These include: air emission requirements means you cannot throttle down, the air inlet door needs adjusting to close more (pulled apart and reset door opening to minimum without improving), that's just the way it is, etc. I have written Travis Industries (Lopi manufacturer) several times about the problem including via certified mail. They do not respond. How do I get at Lopi 1250 Republic wood stove to throttle down so to extend burn times, reduce wood consumption and not send so much heat up the chimney? The unit appears well constructed with too much air intake! Sincerely, H. W. Burwell

User's recommendation: Do not purchase a Lopi 1250 wood stove.

Primarily unhappy with the quality of the fans provided with the Lopi stoves!

On the first Lopi stove I had for several years, which was the LX model, the fan stopped working. Even when it was new, the fan made a humming, slightly rattling noise. No matter how well I cleaned and oiled it, nothing improved it. In my opinion, without a fan these...
